200 - LIVE! (and then DEAD!)

You finally did it, you scumbums. You brought down one of Sydney's top 5 comedy-adjacent podcasts, right in the prime of its life. Hear our solemn death rattle, as recorded live at The Record Crate, Monday the 21st of March 2016, featuring special guests Simon Bosco, Ben Kochan, Reece Piper, Nikko Malyon, Alexei Toliopoulos, Kate Coates, and Fran Middleton, as well as a live performance from *musical guest* Anatole. Also, we cast Bernie Sanders in the movie 'Skeletonhood'!

Please note - we are new at recording live podcasts, and this one has a couple of bits of peaky audio, particularly during Anatole's performance. For lack of a more elegant solution, we urge you to track down his immaculately produced (and mixed, and mastered, and written, and performed...) records. Both his debut Westbrook and recent follow-up Surrounds are yours to stream on Bandcamp, and available as very reasonably priced downloads as well. However, the only way to hear this insane, exclusive remix is right here on SSJ.

Thanks to Justin Andersen for the photo.
It's not a very good photo, but we appreciate the DIY spirit.

162 - Divide & Conquer: Red Alert (feat. Lee Jowono!)

This week, we welcome the very funny Lee Jowono to the show, and we talk about Tim Rogers, 'Clinton Tarantino', and Feet Christian Anderson. Plus, we try on new glasses, and then play 12 Angry Men & A Baby, and That Sounds Good, What's That About?

MUSIC USED:
SSJ Theme 3000: Xavier Rubetzki Noonan
The News: Jeremy Neale
FEATURE TRACK:
Hold On Together is the new single by Brisbane hitmaker Jeremy Neale, featuring ex-Go Violets and current Stevie frontwoman Phoebe Imhoff. It's a bloody ripper tune with a dueling solo between sax & flamenco guitar, and you can grab it on iTunes or on Jeremy's forthcoming second EP.

71 - Slippy-Doos (feat. Lee Sullivan and PETE HOLMES!)

This week, we're joined by our pal (and raconteur) Lee Sullivan to discuss our trip to Melbourne, fish jerky, apartheid, and Tom's drunken antics. We cut to audio recorded on the scene, including a special (and very awkward and fangirlish) interview with the one and only Pete Holmes. Then we touch on the brand-new Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time, and new DLC for Sound Shapes.
In SSST: Disney disbands LucasArts, Rockstar unveils GTA V's cover art, and Telltale announces Poker Night 2. Yep, that's all.
In Ask SSJ: we discuss filmmaking, drugs, ALF, hardcore gaming, and then Tom gets out of there as quickly as possible.

MUSIC USED:
All music this week was improvised by Lee Sullivan, who you'll know from bands such as Canoelands and Dr. Spaceman.
Oh wait, no, there was one more track.
